Brexit, Health and Safety

image

As of the 31st January 2020, the UK has formally left the EU.

Until the 31st December 2020, the UK is in a ‘transition period’ where the EU and UK can negotiate new arrangements and trade deals.

Whilst this transition period is in effect, your responsibility to mitigate risk and protect the health and safety of your employees, fellow workers, and yourself remains the same – regulated under law by the control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) and enforced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

HSE.gov.uk has a series of guidance documents and information pages on their website to help you prepare for the 1st January 2021.
