UK health advisory body warns people to ‘stay home’ if feeling unwell to prevent resurgence in COVID-19.

A senior advisor at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHCA), has warned the general public that if they feel unwell to stay home, not visit vulnerable people and/or wear a face covering if they have to go outside, to help contain the resurgence of COVID-19 in Britain and protect healthcare services from becoming overrun.

Professor Susan Hopkins, chief medical advisor at the UKHCA issued the advice as a precaution following reports that both COVID-19, flu and scarlet fever are all “circulating at high levels.”

Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE) is an essential tool for battling cross contamination in healthcare from infections such as the coronavirus and influenza.
