INDG479 Update
The HSE has released an update to the INDG479 Guidance on respiratory protective equipment (RPE) fit testing.
This useful guide gives advice on fit testing for employers and fit testers. Covering practices and expectations for the different fit test methods used in the UK.
Updated in October 2025, the revised INDG479 now clarifies that face fit testing can be carried out using either a flush or extended port.
