Respiratory Protection in Dentistry

image

More and more dental practitioners across the UK are choosing Easiair Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) for their complete respiratory protection.

The Easiair PAPR kit is a reusable and loose-fitting form of respiratory protective equipment (RPE) consisting of a comfortable hood and a lightweight blower unit. The P3 respirator protects the user against respiratory hazards such as COVID-19 by taking air through the blower unit where it is filtered before being blown into the hood for the wearer to breathe.

At Full Support Healthcare, we are seeing more and more dental workers choose Easiair due to its compatibility with loupes, long-lasting battery and full head coverage which further reduces splash contamination to the head and neck area.

Dr Mark Steven Howe, dental practitioner at Broadway Dental Care and author of the Thoughts On Life And Dentistry Blog, explains why he chooses Easiair:

“While some dentists are still using face masks or tight-fitting respirators, they can get uncomfortable to wear over time, make communication a challenge and involve a lot of waste.

“The Easiair on the other hand is comfortable, has a clear visor to allow for easier communication and has battery that lasts the whole working day.

“Unlike other PAPR systems I’ve tried, the Easiair is also fully compatible with our loupes system – making it the obvious choice for dentists.”
